GUFTAGU

Through the lives of three nearly century-old poets Rashid Chowdhuri, Ameer Dehlavi, and Gulzar Dehlavi, the film visualises the linguistic remnants of pre-Partition Delhi, illustrating the inherent romanticism of the Urdu language while capturing the plurality and discourse that has shaped Delhi's urban identity. The narrative core is the lives of three men, their love for language and relationship with Delhi. The film was crowdsourced (not crowdfunded), based on barter, where money was not contributed, but production requirements for the film, film equipment, services on set, etc.
