This Mural depicts an imagined creature, part biological, part machine. It is conceived as the intermixture of a World War 1 era biplane and a vertebrate sea creature. It was created as an experiment in manufacturing a modern mythology that strays away from the logical and scientific, leaning towards the imaginary and mythological of our ancestors, whose belief systems were not guided by science, but rather by the knowledge systems of the time. At the same time, it should be noted that it dwells in the realm of the imaginary strongly enough so as to stay clearly out of the way of pseudoscience.
